What is sexual performance anxiety?

Sexual performance anxiety is characterized by the inability to relax and enjoy sex. It affects both men and women in a different way. Most men with sexual performance anxiety experience what’s called an erectile disfunction - the loss of erection or not being able to maintain it for long enough. Women on the other hand experience fear, inability to connect with the partner and challenges with experiencing pleasure or climax. In general, the problem stems overthinking, being in a head, overly self-critical or judgemental.

How can hypnosis help with sexual performance anxiety?

Hypnosis therapy is a great way to release negative thinking associated with sex. Any narrative or beliefs you hold about yourself or sex could be reframed and reprogrammed in the mind. In hypnosis, you can detach from any negative sexual experiences you have had in the past, if necessary forgive yourself and others, learn to be more gentle with internal self dialogue and how you see yourself as a sexual partner. You will be guided to mentally rehearse a positive sexual experience just to show and convicen your mind of what is possible for you.

How many hypnosis sessions do I need to overcome sexual performance anxiety?

It usually takes about two hypnosis sessions to overcome sexual performance anxiety. Both sessions are recorded for the future use and reinforcement.
